INTERPRETER SERVICES

Interpretation is the transfer of a spoken message from one language into another.

Translation is the transfer of written text one language into another

OHCO is Hiring New Interpreters

The Ohio Hispanic Coalition has immediate openings available for individuals who speak fluent English and any other foreign language(s) within the Interpreter Services department. 

Languages in high demand include: Spanish, Somali, Portuguese, Russian, East Asian (more specifically Mandarin and Cantonese) and American Sign Language (ASL).  ALL LANGUAGES ACCEPTED!!

Interested individuals are encouraged to apply in person Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm at: Ohio Hispanic Coalition 6161 Busch Blvd., Suite 311, Columbus, Ohio 43229.

  • On-site Interpreter’s available 24 hours a day to assist you with connecting to your clients.  This will allow you to facilitate a face to face with your clients.
  • Document Translation available 24 hours a day with free estimates.  The ability to translate material in the form of:  printed documents, website content, business forms, and personal documents.
  • Conference Calls available 24 hours a day, with the ability to connect within minutes.  Access to over 150 languages..

  • Training on Standards and Ethics of Interpreting
  • Workplace Spanish Training
  • Basic Medical Terminology, for Interpreters
  • Legal and Courtroom Interpretations, for Interpreters
  • Bi-lingual screening for potential employees
  • Testing and reviewing of staff
  • Voice over recording for radio, instructional videos or announcements
  • Additional services as needed
  • Community Outreach Efforts
